CAREER PAGE AND APPLICATION FORM

Company: RiverBank / Project Name: Career Page / Date: 09/2022 - 11/2022

In this company, I dedicated entirely to UI/UX design working on the Visual Design of the web and internal applications (desktop and mobile). This is an example of the steps we followed in the redesign of the careers page and the implementation of a form to apply for the different jobs available.

The Product

RiverBank S.A. is a digital bank making financing to SMEs easy. It was founded to close the gap for SMEs in the European market by leveraging technology. It offers loans to customers throughout Europe in accordance with its values: speed, flexibility, and reliability.

The Problem

The current careers page contains minimal information. The way to apply for a position is to send an email or call the human resources department and post new opportunities on Linkedin.

The Goal

The Career page aims to connect talented individuals with exciting opportunities that align with their passions and skills. By providing comprehensive information about the company culture, growth prospects, and available positions, we strive to foster a transparent and engaging platform that empowers candidates to make informed career decisions.

UNDERSTANDING THE USER

User Research

We base the design result on these three points:

  • Understand candidate expectations: Gain insight into what potential candidates in the financial sector are looking for in their ideal employer, including key factors that influence their decision-making process.

  • Identify pain points: Identify the most common issues and frustrations candidates face when navigating job pages to ensure the new design addresses these issues and provides a smooth user experience.

  • Optimize content relevance: Determine the most relevant and engaging content to display on the careers page, tailored to the specific needs and interests of financial professionals seeking career opportunities.

Moodboard

We collect inspirations in a moodboard. We created a visual collage that helped us define the overall tone, style and theme of the UI design. Including images, sections, types of element and text organization and any other elements related to careers.

STARTING THE DESIGN

Career Page

We designed different versions of the content by sections in order to have several options to show to stakeholders and decide which one best suited the company's image. Being always faithful to the design system and the corporate image.

Work with Us

A well-designed job offer on a financial company's employment page should include key elements and information to attract and inform potential candidates.

  • Job Title and Department

  • Location and Working Hours (City, Country, Full-Time/Part-Time or Remote/On-Site)

  • Job Description

  • Qualifications and Requirements (Seniority)

  • Company Overview

  • Compensation and Benefits

  • Career Growth and Development Opportunities

  • Application Instructions

  • Contact Information

  • Equal Opportunity Employer Statement

  • Application Deadline

  • Call-to-Action

The elements underlined in yellow are those that we consider essential in a brief job description before entering into a detailed description. Here are some examples of different ways to represent it:

Application Form

The design of the form was much simpler since in the design system we have preset the general look and feel of all Onboarding pages. In the general pages, the predominant color is blue and in these pages in particular, the dominant color is yellow, making it easy for the user to perceive that he is in this type of process.

The main idea was to make the process as fast as possible for the user with all the necessary information for the human resources team and an easy implementation for the developers. So we divided it into 3 pages = 1 step, a successful process message, and an email confirmation.
